Security Penetration Tester

Duration: 12 month Day Rate Contract

Location: Dublin, Ireland (Hybrid- 2 days on-site)

Client: Government Department

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform in-depth penetration tests across various environments (applications, networks, and systems).
  • Provide real-time threat reporting, ensuring that vulnerabilities are identified and communicated clearly.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and document remediation strategies for identified vulnerabilities.
  • Deliver clear, comprehensive reports outlining findings, risk levels, and remediation recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and testing methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Proficiency in penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
  • Relevant certifications such as Crest, OSCP, CEH, or GPEN preferred.
  • Strong documentation skills with the ability to present findings clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Solid knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
