Technical Account Manager - Permanent Position

Location: midlands

A leading technology company is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Technical Account Manager to join our clients team on a permanent basis. This role is crucial for driving business growth in Ireland by engaging with our clients existing customers to review and enhance their services, ensuring optimal customer satisfaction. Success will be measured by contract renewals, upsell rates, and customer retention.

What you will be doing in the role:

  • You will analyse current services provided to clients and evaluate their effectiveness before initiating contact.
  • You will travel to meet clients as needed; proficiency in Zoom/Teams is essential.
  • You will conduct quarterly reviews with clients to identify and promote additional service opportunities based on their needs.
  • You will serve as a brand ambassador, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of all products/services and their upgrade capabilities during client visits.
  • You will ensure all products/services are suitable for client needs, identifying those requiring maintenance or updates. Oversee scheduled maintenance on hardware/software and verify completion of previous work.
  • You will perform quality control on client hardware, recommending replacements for outdated or problematic equipment during site visits, potentially suggesting a transition to cloud infrastructure.
  • You will maintain adherence to Service Level Agreements for new sales and existing contracts.
  • You will provide onboarding training and support for new clients, assisting with the setup of the remote monitoring system.
  • You will identify new business opportunities during client visits.
  • You will escalate issues to directors as necessary.
  • You will coordinate follow-up actions from account management visits with the operations department.
  • You will document all visit details in CRM system.

What you will need:

  • You will have a background in IT with knowledge of major software/hardware suppliers.
  • You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
  • You will have self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
  • You will have excellent reporting skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in Sales/Account Management is a big plus.
  • CompTIA or similar qualifications preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
