Duration: 1 year rolling day rate contract

A leading Telecoms organisation in Dublin is seeking a skilled Messaging Services Engineer to join their dynamic team on a 1-year rolling contract. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative messaging solutions that drive efficiency and growth.

What You Will Be Doing in the Role:

  • Local Market Delivery Engineer: Define, design, and implement messaging solutions (SMS, MMS, Voicemail, IP Messaging, Cell Broadcast) to meet business and marketing requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work with local and remote cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of messaging services.
  • Messaging Service Evolution: Drive the evolution of messaging services and platforms, focusing on harmonization and centralization within the European Region.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and manage vendor activities to ensure timely project delivery and compliance with requirements.
  • Technology Trends: Track and evaluate technology trends, initiate new processes or solutions, and introduce cost-effective technologies.

What You Will Need:

  • Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications.
  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of relevant professional experience working in messaging services.
  • Network Design experience is a distinct advantage
  • Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of telecom technologies, core network, value-added services, network function virtualization, DevOps/Agile frameworks, and cloud/containerised environments.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Project Management Certification: Preferred but not essential.

Personal Qualities:

  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional, multi-cultural team.
  • Results-Oriented: Ability to deliver results, manage a changing environment, and be customer-oriented.
  • Expertise in Messaging Services: Strong expertise in messaging services with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proactive: Approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
