A leading Insurance company is seeking a Snr Business Analyst for a permanent position based in Dublin city centre, the role offers flexible hybrid working, with some requirement to come to the office when required. In the role you will work on change projects related to an internal application and business intelligence framework analysis. You will have experience with the SDLC, a metrics-driven mindset, and the ability to work independently.

What you will be doing in the role:

  • You will organise workshops with stakeholders to understand processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • You will produce clear business process requirements and acceptance criteria documentation.
  • You will partner with product managers and SMEs to refine business requirement documentation.
  • You will define and manage risks, dependencies, and issues related to change initiatives.
  • You will engage with developers to ensure understanding of business requirement acceptance criteria.
  • You will perform market research on the reinsurance landscape and related products.
  • You will manage business analysis responsibilities for multiple projects.
  • You will collaborate with the Project Manager on project scope, workstreams, and acceptance criteria.
  • You will negotiate and collaborate on alternative solutions with stakeholders.
  • You will conduct cost/benefit analysis for implementation activities.
  • You will facilitate product backlog management and write test cases for user stories.
  • You will coordinate user acceptance testing and run training sessions for users.
  • You will secure approval for change management activities from senior product managers and stakeholders.

What you will need:

  • You will have 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Financial Services, focusing on software development and data analysis.
  • You will have experience in gathering requirements from cross-functional groups.
  • You will have strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • You will have excellent communication and data presentation skills.
  • You will have proficiency in Lean and Agile methodologies, MS DevOps, Kanban, and Confluence.
  • You will have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Power BI, MS Excel, Word, and Visio.
  • You will have an IIBA-CCBA certification (preferred).
  • Experience in the Insurance/Reinsurance industry is preferred.
