Staff DevOps Engineer

Location: Dublin City (Hybrid - 1-2 days/week in office)
Employment Type: Full-time
Level: Senior individual contributor with a clear path to leadership

About Us

We're a fast-moving, product-led team building cloud-native infrastructure at scale. Our platform runs on AWS and supports growing demand across our customer base. As we scale, we're looking to strengthen our DevOps capabilities - and this is where you come in.

We're looking for a Staff DevOps Engineer who thrives and enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is ready to step into a leadership role. You'll work closely with engineering leadership and product teams to evolve our infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and tooling - while helping shape our DevOps culture.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Designing and evolving our AWS-based cloud platform, ensuring scalability, resilience, and security

  • Managing and operating Kubernetes clusters (primarily EKS), including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring

  • Writing clean, maintainable Python code for internal tooling, automation scripts, and infrastructure logic

  • Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across multiple environments

  • Building robust CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows in collaboration with our development teams

  • Driving observability and reliability across systems through logging, metrics, and alerting tooling

  • Contributing to technical design, architecture discussions, and DevOps roadmap planning

  • Acting as a technical mentor and future leader within the team

What We're Looking For

We value expertise, ownership, and initiative. You should bring:

  • Strong experience with AWS - including services like EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, etc.

  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes, including experience deploying and managing clusters in production (EKS preferred)

  • Proficient Python skills - used for scripting, tooling, or infrastructure automation

  • Solid Terraform experience, with a track record of delivering infrastructure-as-code across environments

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)

  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or similar)

  • A collaborative mindset and ability to communicate clearly with engineers, product managers, and leadership

  • A growth mindset and genuine interest in developing into a formal leadership position over time

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary

  • Equity: Be part of our growth and success

  • Flexible hybrid model: 1-2 days/week in our Dublin City office

  • Career growth: A clear path into engineering leadership as the team and company grow

  • A strong culture of collaboration, autonomy, and learning
