Cloud Security Architecture Role
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Align with the organisation's Cyber Security Strategy by defining secure architecture design requirements and patterns, acting as the Azure Security SME.
- Define and maintain cyber security design principles and contribute to and maintain cyber security checklists.
- Ensure cyber security is embedded in solution designs by providing security input into sensitive cloud service design.
- Provide architectural guidance for a Cyber Security Mesh Architecture model and act as a technical architect who can engage in robust discussions with tech teams and vendors.
- Align cybersecurity-related procurements with the enterprise security architecture and participate in procurement activities to ensure alignment with security architecture.
- Develop and maintain the enterprise security architecture strategy, aligning with business goals, and create and maintain a roadmap for implementing security technologies and industry best practices.
- Conduct security-focused solution design reviews and recommend risk mitigation strategies and controls in collaboration with the Cyber Risk Lead.
- Design and maintain an enterprise-wide security framework for regulatory compliance and ensure alignment with industry best practices and relevant regulations.
- Maintain overall security architecture, including network, data, application, cloud, and device security, with a focus on configuration-level knowledge when required.
- Evaluate and select security technologies and solutions, and participate in security review boards, providing expertise on security matters.
- Integrate security solutions to support incident response plans and collaborate with IT teams, stakeholders, and executives to communicate security risks and integrate security measures.
- Identify relevant security regulations and ensure compliance, participate in security audits, and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated with security trends and recommend improvements, enforce security requirements in solution design and build, and define key security performance indicators (KPIs) and track metrics.
- Prepare regular security reports for management and regularly review and improve security practices based on feedback.
- Communicate security matters effectively to IT and non-IT personnel, chair relevant forums, including architectural and cyber operational forums.
- Broadly apply cyber threat modelling experience using high-level and low-level design documents.
Contract Details:
- Remote role with occasional in-person meetings.
- Must be based in Ireland.
- Six-month daily rate contract: €600 to €750 per day.
- Strong likelihood of contract extension.
