One of our cloud security client are seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer to join their team based out of our Stoke on Trent site.The Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems administration, network engineering, and cloud technologies, with a passion for implementing innovative solutions to support our organisation's growth and technological advancements.
NOTE :UKSV is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain SC clearance, with a view to obtaining UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance as required.
To be eligible for UKSV you must be a UK National and/or have been a UK Resident for 5+ years.

Role Responsibilities
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are a plus.
- Proven experience as an infrastructure engineer or similar role, with a strong background in systems administration, network engineering, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing virtualisation technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Docker) and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
- In-depth knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLANs, and routing/switching.
- Familiarity with security principles, practices, and tools for securing IT infrastructure, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint security solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) and network virtualisation technologies, such as SD-WAN and SDN controllers.
- Experience with implementing and managing enterprise-level storage solutions, such as SAN, NAS, and object storage systems.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, such as GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS, and SOC 2, and experience in implementing controls to meet compliance standards.
