L3 Engineer

An MSP client is seeking a highly skilled Senior L3 Engineer to join their team. This role involves installation and ongoing support of IT systems across small, medium, and enterprise environments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in networking, virtualisation, and Microsoft technologies, with a VMware certification essential.

Responsibilities:

• Perform onsite installation and configuration of computer and network systems.
• Provide technical support and maintenance for Microsoft technologies, Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, and Storage Arrays.
• Support network infrastructure including Cisco/Meraki, HPE, firewalls, and WiFi solutions.
• Conduct onsite service visits to diagnose and resolve customer issues.
• Supervise and provide training to junior installation staff.
• Assist with IT system design, deployment, and ongoing support for SME clients.
• Work closely with pre-sales and post-sales teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Attend relevant training programs to stay updated on industry advancements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, and technical support.
• Strong knowledge of networking, firewalls, switches, and virtualization technologies.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, HPE server/storage solutions, and VMware vSphere.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or similar certification is essential.
• Additional vendor certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, HPE) are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full, clean driving license required for client site visits.
