Patching Strategy Architect - Outside IR35 - Fully remote
I am working with a leading tech firm, who are looking at improving their IT function with a Patching Strategy Architect to lead and manage the overall patching strategy for their enterprise environment. This is a key role, responsible for developing the high-level strategy, documentation processes, governance frameworks, reporting structures and methodologies for patching across infrastructure. The environment consists of 10,000 users and 1,500 servers running on windows, Linux and Intune platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the enterprise-wide patch management strategy, ensuring alignment with security, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Establish governance models and enforce best practices for patching processes across Windows, Linux, and Intune environments.
- Define and document clear policies, procedures, and guidelines for patch management and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an architect or leadership role focusing on patch management strategy, documentation, and governance.
- Experience managing large-scale enterprise environments (10,000+ users and 1,500+ servers).
- Expertise in compliance and regulatory frameworks relevant to patch management.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
