Job Title: Project Manager (Contract)
Location: Farnborough (2 days per week)
Rate : GBP 500 -600 P/D Inside IR35
Contract Duration: 6 months (Extendable)
Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager to join our PMO function. This role will support various critical projects, including the Hydra programme (new platform), PES (Partner Experience), and international market legacy platforms. The contractor will primarily focus on partner configuration and onboarding applications, supporting the overall project and programme management of the initiatives within scope. The ideal candidate will have a background in payments, technical experience, and a strong understanding of Agile methodology, SDLC, and project management tools like Jira, SharePoint, Word, and Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and manage the overall project and programme activities for Hydra, PES, international markets, and partner configuration and onboarding applications.
- Collaborate with the Agile teams to track and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across the projects.
- Ensure smooth coordination of activities that fall outside development tasks, including go-to-market activities.
- Simplify and modernise systems, with a focus on digitalising work processes, customer onboarding, and data storage.
- Maintain strong oversight of all project deliverables, timelines, and resources, ensuring that all tasks are on track and within scope.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and manage project-related risks.
- Assist in the programme-level management of projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Monitor and track progress using tools such as Jira, SharePoint, and Excel, ensuring transparent and efficient communication across teams.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 3-5 years of Project Management experience, with a focus on technology and digital transformation projects.
- Proven experience in the payments industry (3 years) is preferred but not critical.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodology, SDLC, and project planning.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, including testing and design phases.
- Strong technical proficiency in Jira, SharePoint, Excel, and Word.
- Experience in programme-level management, with the ability to track and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and mitigate risks, and proactively address issues to ensure project success.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and the ability to apply this knowledge to project management tasks.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
