They are looking for an IT Test Manager to be responsible for overseeing the entire testing process to ensure the highest quality of IT products and services. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing various testing activities, managing the testing team, and ensuring that all testing efforts align with the project's goals and client requirements. One of the key responsibilities will also include aligning with CLIENTS existing test plan and developing a more detailed version to support this alignment.
Main asks is for the testing manager to write scripts and understand requirements of testing which include UAT.
Responsibilities-
Plan and Coordinate Testing: Develop comprehensive test strategies and plans, including defining test types, tools, and environments.
* Estimate Resources and Budget: Assess the time, resources, and budget required for testing activities and ensure they are allocated appropriately.
* Set Up Test Environment: Establish and maintain the test environment to ensure it meets the necessary requirements for testing.
* Assign and Track Testing Tasks: Delegate testing tasks to team members and monitor their progress to ensure timely completion.
* Manage Testers and Combine Results: Oversee the testing team, combine test results, and ensure that all issues are documented and addressed.
* Communicate with Clients and Stakeholders: Maintain clear communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on testing progress and any new requirements.
* Monitor Goals and Quality Standards: Ensure that testing activities meet the defined goals and quality standards.
* Schedule Status Meetings and Reports: Organize regular status meetings and prepare reports to track testing progress and identify potential bottlenecks.
* Make Final Quality Decisions: Evaluate the final test results and make decisions regarding the quality of the product.
* Introduce Metrics for Progress and Quality: Implement metrics to measure testing progress and quality, and use these metrics to drive continuous improvement.
* Coordinate with Project Team: Work closely with project managers, developers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of testing activities.
* Prepare Final Reports: Compile and present final reports on testing outcomes and recommendations for improvements. Person Skills:
* Proven experience in IT test management or a similar role.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks is preferred.
* Experience with test management tools and planning software such as Monday.com is beneficial. Desired
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Certification in software testing or quality assurance.
