I am hiring an IT Project Manager to join my clients team and play a key role in delivering IT projects and system enhancements that support business growth and efficiency. About the Role
In this position, you will work closely with senior project managers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to support the planning, execution, and tracking of critical projects. You will play a crucial role in managing the enhancement backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals, and ensuring timely task completion. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
Support the timely delivery of IT projects and enhancements within scope.
Assist in developing project plans, time lines, and resource allocation.
Monitor project progress, identifying potential risks or delays.
Participate in status meetings and provide stakeholders with updates.
Backlog Management:
Collaborate with business analysts and engagement teams to manage and prioritise the project/enhancement backlog.
Ensure items are well-categorised, scoped, and aligned with business objectives.
Coordinate team resources to address high-priority tasks.
Document enhancements and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Facilitate communication between business leads, IT teams, and stakeholders.
Organise and support meetings, workshops, and progress presentations.
Provide day-to-day project support and respond to stakeholder inquiries.
Process Improvement:
Work with IT teams to enhance work flows and streamline delivery processes.
Risk & Issue Management:
Assist in identifying and resolving project risks and issues, escalating as necessary.
Maintain risk and issue logs to ensure visibility and accountability.
Additional Information:
Occasional travel to other business locations may be required.
You will also support various ad-hoc tasks and initiatives as needed.
What We're Looking For:
2-5 years of experience in project management or coordination, preferably in IT or tech-driven projects.
Relevant Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or similar) is highly desirable.
Familiarity with managing backlogs, creating project time lines, and resource planning.
Solid understanding of IT systems and business processes.
Strong multitasking and organisational skills.
A collaborative team player who can work effectively across functions.
Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
