GCS Recruitment expands with new office opening in Glasgow and appoints Grant Fraser as Regional Sales Manager
GCS Technology has expanded its global operation (yet again) and has launched our Scottish location!
Based in Glasgow, my team and I will deliver key talent across all technology domains to our Scottish Customers.Our expertise covers both the Contract and Permanent recruitment markets, focussing primarily on:
- Senior technology appointments
- Change and Transformation roles
- Software Development
- Data Science and Business Intelligence
- Infrastructure & Security
Covering all sectors, we have already made a splash with multiple roles available, both contract and permanent, and we don’t see things slowing down!
Why Scotland?
Headquartered in Reading with offices in London, Houston, New York, Berlin, Amsterdam, and more, GCS has a global network, so I was surprised GCS didn’t have a presence in Scotland.
However, there’s no time like the present. With Edinburgh & Glasgow often among the top European Cities for start-ups and technology investment, there is huge optimism and opportunity in the Scottish tech scene.
Scotland is very competitive as far as Tech agencies go but I’m sure with what we can offer at GCS, we will be a welcome addition to that scene.
Heading up Glasgow office
My name is Grant Fraser, I have spent nearly 10 years in recruitment, focussing on the Scottish Technology market. My specialist areas include Infrastructure & Cloud and Change & Transformation, covering all roles in those areas.
With a background in sales dating all the way back to 2002, I took a short break to go back to University and get my degree before looking at an opportunity in recruitment. I’ve worn many hats in my career, from Manager to therapist. I’ve progressed from a new technology consultant to become the top fee earner in my previous business, five years in a row, up until my departure.
The key to my success, I believe, has been relationships, at all levels whether it be with Customers, Candidates or Colleagues. If you can build strong relationships, the rest is easy!
Why GCS?
After nearly 10 successful years with my previous employer, I decided to look for a new challenge. Dave Bloxham (CEO) and Lawrence Kelly (UK Director) were some of the first contacts I spoke with and despite some excellent offers from established organisations, I couldn’t shake the appeal of GCS. There is a multitude of positives here, but I wanted to highlight some of the key things that attracted me to the business.
- GCS are an out and out technology business, operating in some truly unique skills markets.
- The culture here is second to none.
- Security & Support. GCS are part of the nGAGE group, a global giant in the recruitment world, so while GCS Scotland has that “start-up” feel, we’re part of something much bigger which offers an absolute peace of mind for someone looking to change companies.
- Opportunity. To lead and grow a business in a market I believe is one of the best in Europe was massively exciting! This leads me nicely onto my next point…

Final word
All that remains to be said is how excited and grateful I am to be leading the Scottish operation for GCS. The opportunity here is huge, for the existing team and for anyone interested in becoming part of our business. We are growing and don’t plan on slowing down!
